Boho nursery wallpaper: soft palettes, gentle repeats
A boho nursery wallpaper is soft and earthy: blush, warm beige, olive or sage with hand-drawn motifs. For blush, choose Pink boho or Vintage Air Balloons; for warm neutrals, Neutral rainbow, Neutral Nursery Cloud or Woodland nursery; for a gender-neutral room, Teddy Bear Striped or Scandinavian floral nursery. A 10-foot wall on an 8-foot ceiling takes four 108-inch panels, $480 for our kids' designs. Order a $15 sample of each finalist first.
1. What reads as boho in a nursery.
Boho in a nursery is less a theme than a mood: warm, layered and a little hand-made. On the wall that usually means three things.
- An earthy palette. Blush, warm beige, olive and sage on a light ground, rather than bright primaries.
- Hand-drawn motifs. Rainbows, clouds, botanical line drawings and woodland animals that look sketched or painted.
- A quiet repeat. The wall sets the tone; the rattan, wood and linen in the room do the rest.
Every design below comes from our kids’ collections, grouped by palette so you can start from the colors already in the room.
2. Blush and soft pink.
If you want some pink, keep it soft and pair it with warm wood so the room stays calm. More soft florals are on our floral nursery wallpaper page.
- Pink boho: white botanical line drawings on a soft blush-pink ground. The most classic boho pick here.
- Vintage Air Balloons: watercolor hot air balloons drifting among clouds in soft pink and beige, for a little more to look at from the crib.
- Brush stroke arch: small white brush-stroke arches repeating across a warm peach ground, a soft arch shape in place of pink florals.
3. Warm beige and earthy neutrals.
Warm grounds carry the boho look without any pink, and they sit easily next to oak, cane and natural linen. Woodland nursery also leads our woodland and bunny nursery wallpaper page.
- Neutral rainbow: quiet beige rainbows with small hearts and clouds. The rainbow is the motif most people picture in a boho nursery.
- Neutral Nursery Cloud: watercolor clouds in warm beige and olive tones. The calmest of the group.
- Woodland nursery: woodland creatures gathered in leafy wreaths on a warm beige ground, for a storybook take on the style.
4. Gender-neutral boho.
Boho does not have to lean pink. Sage and black line work keep the relaxed feel and suit any child, now and as their own tastes arrive.
- Teddy Bear Striped: teddy bears on gentle beige stripes in a sage palette. The stripes give a loose room some structure.
- Scandinavian floral nursery: small black line-drawn flowers and stems spaced across white, which lets a colorful rug or a woven wall hanging lead.
Neutral rainbow and Neutral Nursery Cloud belong here too. Our gender-neutral nursery guide sorts more designs by palette, and the sage green nursery guide goes deeper on green.
5. Styling the rest of the room.
With a patterned wall, the rest of a boho nursery works best when it stays simple and textured.
- Natural materials. A wood or cane crib, a woven basket and a jute or wool rug pick up the warm tones in the paper.
- One accent color. Take a single color from the wallpaper, such as the sage in Teddy Bear Striped or the blush in Pink boho, and repeat it in a cushion or curtain.
- Art on the other walls. Keep framed prints and wall hangings off the papered wall so the pattern has room.
Paper the wall before the furniture goes in. Our nursery accent wall guide helps you choose which wall, and the nursery wallpaper guide covers measuring and timing before baby arrives.
6. Plan the wall.
Every kids’ design comes in 30-inch-wide panels in nine heights, priced $90 to $180 per panel. Divide the wall width by 30 and round up for the panel count. Add 4 inches to the wall height for trim and alignment, then choose the shortest panel height that covers it.
| Wall | Panels across | Panel height | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 ft wide, 8 ft high (120 × 96 in) | 120 ÷ 30 = 4 | 108 in | 4 × $120 = $480 |
| 11 ft wide, 9 ft high (132 × 108 in) | 132 ÷ 30 = 4.4, so 5 | 120 in | 5 × $125 = $625 |
Prices are before tax, with free US shipping. The nursery wallpaper calculator does the same math for your own walls.
7. Start with a $15 sample.
Blush and warm beige change more with the light than any other colors in this guide. Before you order panels, order a sample of each finalist from our samples page, or straight from a design: Pink boho sample, Neutral rainbow sample, Woodland nursery sample or Teddy Bear Striped sample. Each is $15 with free US shipping.
- Tape the samples next to the crib, beside the wood and fabrics you plan to keep.
- Look at them in morning light and by the lamp you will use for night feeds.
- Step back to the doorway: some motifs read as soft texture from there, others as a picture.

Questions
What colors work for a boho nursery wallpaper?
Soft, earthy colors: blush pink, warm beige, olive and sage, usually on a light ground. Hand-drawn motifs such as rainbows, clouds, botanical line drawings and woodland animals keep the wall relaxed rather than busy.

No. Pink boho and Vintage Air Balloons are the two designs here with pink; Neutral rainbow, Neutral Nursery Cloud, Woodland nursery and Teddy Bear Striped all stay in beige, olive and sage, which suit any child.
How many panels does a boho nursery accent wall take?
WallJoy panels are 30 inches wide, so divide the wall width in inches by 30 and round up. A 10-foot-wide wall on an 8-foot ceiling takes four 108-inch panels at $120 each for our kids' designs, $480 before tax with free US shipping.
