What's in the collection

Four designs read clearly as Christmas. Christmas Branch is minimal pine branches on a light ground. Aesthetic Christmas is delicate mistletoe sprigs on soft white. Green Christmas Mistletoe is farmhouse mistletoe in muted greens. Charming White Christmas Trees is white trees on a light ground, understated and monochrome.

The rest read as winter, so they can stay up after the holidays. Snowflake is a minimal snowflake pattern, and Midnight Snowfall is a black-and-white snowfall that is graphic but quiet. Frosted Pines is frosted blue pines, a serene winter forest, and Gray Simple Pines is a simple gray pine motif. Birch Calm is black-and-white birch silhouettes, Deer is a black-and-white mid-century deer motif, Winter Floral is Scandinavian winter flowers in muted tones, and Moody Christmas is a jewel-blue Scandinavian botanical pattern.

Choosing for your space

• Christmas-only or all winter. If you plan to change the wall in January, choose a Christmas design. If you'd like it up through February, choose a winter one.
• Which wall. One wall is enough: the one behind the tree, behind the dining table, or in the entry.
• Light. Tree lights and short afternoons change how whites, greens and blues look, which is another reason to look at a sample first.

Sizing and price

Every design comes in 30-inch-wide panels in nine heights, priced from $90 to $180 per panel. Measure floor to ceiling, add 4 inches for trim and choose the shortest height that covers it, then divide the wall width by 30 and round up. A 10-foot-wide wall on an 8-foot ceiling takes four 108-inch panels at $120 each, $480 before tax.

Start with a $15 sample, and order early

A $15 sample shows the real color and scale in your room. Tape it up for a few days and look at it in daylight and again with the tree lights on. Every panel is printed to order, and printing can take longer in the holiday season, so allow up to about 8 business days door to door in December. Order samples first and panels with time to spare.

Taking it down

To change the wall, peel the panels off slowly from a top corner at a low angle. We haven't published our own removal tests yet, so test a sample on your paint before you commit to a full wall, or choose a winter design you'd be happy to leave up.
